A Ford Performance-engineered 5.2-liter supercharged Predator V8 engine will power the first-ever Ford Mustang GTD, giving this pony car variant an output of 815 max horsepower. This unlocks a top track speed of 202 mph. The supercharged V8 engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
All of the power for the Ford Mustang GTD is transmitted through a lightweight carbon fiber driveshaft that's connected to an 8-speed rear transaxle. This results in near 50/50 weight distribution, leading to extremely responsive handling on the sharp corners through downtown Beaumont between Pearl Street and Willow Street. The new Ford Mustang GTD uses a semi-active suspension and a dry sump oil system.
